Overview

The Equipment Support Technician I ensures proper and timely flow of products and equipment from arrival until stored or shipped, following established policies and procedures. Performs the physical, technical or administrative tasks involved in shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment, while following policies, procedures and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for proper handling, movement and stocking of equipment according to Company policies and procedures.
  • Enters transactions into the Company's database (PERFECT and/or D365) and maintains associated documentation.
  • Visually inspects equipment for damage and cleanliness and reports accordingly
  • Ensures equipment is routed as required by type of transaction and product segment.
  • Counts and visually verifies inventory as directed
  • Performs special inventory projects and performs other tasks when required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned, in accordance with business needs and organizational goals.
  • Operates company vehicles in compliance with all federal, state, and local traffic laws, including Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations; adhere to company driving policies, safety standards, and participate in mandatory random drug and alcohol screening programs.

Qualifications

  • Good written and oral communication skills are necessary.
  • Requires good basic data entry skills and familiarity with barcode equipment.
  • PC literacy preferred.
  • Must be detailed oriented and can work multiple tasks as assigned.
  • Ability to perform the required physical elements of the job (listed below).
  • Must be able to access, input and retrieve data from Company database.
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent knowledge and certification
  • 6 months’ experience with warehouse processes and database management
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

All positions will require, to some degree, the physical abilities described below to perform the essential functions of the job in a warehouse

 

  • Work the expected hours, consistently arrive at work at the agreed time and follow Company rules and guidelines regarding breaks and meal periods. Full time is typically considered to be 40 hours per week
  • Communicate effectively both orally as well as written. Ability to be understood in face-to-face communication, in person or remote, to speak with level of proficiency and volume to be understood over a telephone or computer.
  • Ability to encounter constant work interruptions; work cooperatively with others; work independently; work indoors. Prolonged periods of standing and working at a computer. Work in a low to moderate noise environment with frequent deadline pressures.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds and be able to move equipment with help up to 150 pounds.
  • Be able to read documents. Ability to read small print and view a computer screen for prolong periods, prepare, or inspect documents and operate office equipment.
  • Ability to hear average or typical conversations and receive ordinary information. Communicate effectively via phone

Travel Requirements: This position may be required to deliver products and services to our Electro Rent / Rush customers, with possible multiple trips required per day. 

Salary Range: $18 to $20 an hour
