Overview

The Lab Asset Preparer ensures proper and timely flow of all products and equipment from arrival until stored or shipped, following established policies and procedures. Performs the physical, technical or administrative tasks involved in shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment, while following policies, procedures and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for proper handling, receiving, shipping and stocking of equipment according to Company policies and procedures.
  • Enters all incoming, outgoing and stocking transactions into the Company's database (PERFECT and/or D365 and/or Accessory Management) and maintains associated documentation.
  • Performs quality assurance checks, function tests and software loads based on Company standards.
  • Verifies proper accessories are received, stored and shipped for all transactions.
  • Maintains Accessory Inventory Database
  • Visually inspects equipment for damage and cleanliness and corrects as directed.
  • Ensure equipment is routed as required by type of transaction and product segment.
  • Performs special inventory projects and performs other tasks when required.
  • Operates company vehicles in compliance with all federal, state, and local traffic laws, including Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations; adhere to company driving policies, safety standards, and participate in mandatory random drug and alcohol screening programs.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Good written and oral communication skills are necessary.
  • Requires good basic data entry skills, PC literacy preferred.
  • Must be detailed oriented and can work multiple tasks as assigned.
  • Ability to perform the required physical elements of the job (listed below).
  • Must be able to access, input and retrieve data from Company database.
  • Knowledge of data products, hardware and operation with shipping, receiving and warehouse process and database management

 

ITAR Requirements

Due to possible access to product/s or technology that may be controlled by the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and other U.S. federal export regulations, a successful candidate for this position will be a “U.S. Person” as defined under 22 CFR § 120.15.

Under this definition, a U.S. Person is a person who is a lawful permanent resident as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20) or who is a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3). In other words, this includes a U.S. Citizen or U.S. national, an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an individual admitted to the United States as an asylee or refugee

  • Ability to safely handle and move equipment up to 25 pounds independently and/or ability to request assistance and perform a team lift when handling items exceeding safe individual lifting limits.

 

Team Lift Definition: A team lift is a coordinated lifting process in which two or more employees work together to safely lift, carry, push, or reposition equipment that is too heavy, bulky, or awkward for one individual to manage safely. Team lifting reduces the risk of injury and ensures compliance with company safety standards.

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment

 

This position operates in a warehouse environment and requires:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of equipment weighing up to 25 pounds independently.
  • Ability to move equipment weighing more than 25 pounds with assistance (team lift).
  • Frequent bending, reaching, stooping, and repetitive motions.
  • Ability to read documents, view computer screens, and complete documentation.
  • Work indoors in a warehouse setting with low to moderate noise levels.
  • Ability to meet operational deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this role.
