Position Summary:

We are seeking a self-driven Account Manager – Data Products focused on aggressively prospecting, acquiring, and developing new customer logos. This role demands a driven "hunter" mentality, focused on expanding Rush Computer's presence by proactively identifying and capturing new business opportunities within the assigned territory.  This person will need to understand the PC market and products from key manufacturers like Apple, Dell, HP and Lenovo and apply those to the needs and requirements of customers in their assigned territory. 

Responsibilities

New Business Development:

  • Maintain a high level of prospecting activity, with expectations of making over 100 prospecting calls per week.
  • Proactively identify, target, and aggressively pursue new customer logos to achieve and exceed assigned revenue and customer acquisition goals.
  • Develop and execute a strategic prospecting plan leveraging multiple channels, including cold calling, networking, industry events, and strategic partnerships.
  • Conduct high-impact presentations, effectively communicate Rush Computers' value propositions, and close new business opportunities.
  • Lead complex negotiations and strategically engage internal resources and senior management to win key accounts.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline and manage sales funnel diligently through Salesforce CRM.
  • Identify industry trends, customer needs, and emerging opportunities to continuously expand and refine the prospecting strategy.
  • Actively participate in industry-related events, trade shows, and networking forums to drive visibility, credibility, and new business opportunities.
  • Work closely with marketing teams to create targeted campaigns and promotional materials specifically designed to attract and convert new customers.
  • Regularly evaluate market conditions and competitor activities, adapting sales approaches proactively to gain competitive advantage.
  • Consistently communicate customer insights and market intelligence internally to ensure agile response and competitive positioning.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closure, ensuring a seamless customer onboarding experience.

 

Sales Planning and Execution:

  • Develop aggressive annual sales plans dedicated to capturing new customers.
  • Demonstrate innovation and creativity to continuously enhance sales strategies and tactics.
  • Ensure meticulous documentation of customer interactions, proposals, and follow-ups in Salesforce CRM.

 

Customer Advocacy and Communication:

  • Serve as a passionate advocate for new customer needs internally to ensure smooth onboarding and satisfaction.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication skills across all interactions—verbal, written, virtual, and in-person.

 

Performance Metrics:

  • Achievement of aggressive new customer acquisition targets.
  • Consistent growth of territory revenue through new customer logos.
  • Accuracy and timeliness of CRM documentation and pipeline management.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years related work experience in technical sales or marketing
  • Strong familiarity with a history of product management / sales of Laptops, Tablets, Personal Computers and Audio Visual equipment
  • Well organized with the ability to successfully manage concurrent selling situations
  • Excellent organizational and communications skills
  • High level of energy, motivation, and initiative
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office Suite applications) Salesforce?
  • Must possess valid driver’s license with clean driving record

 

Experience & Education 

  • BA degree or equivalent is required
  • Minimum 5+ years related work experience in technical sales or marketing

 Physical Requirements

  • All positions will require, to some degree, the physical abilities described below to perform the essential functions of the job
  • Work the expected hours, consistently arrive at work at the agreed time and follow Company rules and guidelines regarding breaks and meal periods. Full time is typically considered to be 40 hours per week
  • Communicate effectively, both oral (in person and on the phone) and written.
  • Move around and through all work areas as needed, may include climbing stairs or ladders
  • Lift and/or move up to 40 pounds (test equipment, binders etc.)
  • Regularly sit at the assigned workstation
  • Use keyboard or equivalent equipment, to access the computer,
  • Use hands to manipulate documents and general paperwork to view contents
  • Read documents, reports, files etc.
  • Communicate effectively using the telephone

 

This position will be remote and subject to 25% + travel

Total compensation range of base and commission not to exceed $150k annually dependent on experience and location.  Commissions paid monthly
