Position Summary:

The primary role of the Sales Support Rep (SSR) is to assist the Inside Sales Engineers (ISE’s) with generating more revenue from open and existing quotes / business opportunities.  The SSR will work closely with his/her team of ISE’s to manage open quotes / business opportunities.  The SSR will assist and qualify controllable leads and distribute these based on several criteria including immediate revenue potential.  The criteria for lead distribution also includes: territory assignment, existing relationships, product expertise, and workload.  Occasionally the SSR will manage the lead themselves through to order closure where the need for an ISR isn’t required. 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain open quotes / business opportunities follow-up
  • Accurately document all stages of the opportunity
  • Customer interaction on leads not assigned to ISE
  • Qualification of controllable leads
  • Continuous customer engagement on post purchase orders
  • Distribution of controllable leads
  • Collaborates with various OEM’s to manage rebate programs
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with accurate data entry
  • Fully competent with Microsoft Office software applications and Internet search engines
  • Must be knowledgeable on current technology trends
  • Two plus (2+) years related sales support experience or work dealing directly with customers by phone and email
  • AA degree or equivalent, required, some technical training preferred
  • Must be well organized, able to multi-task while dealing with concurrent selling situations
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive customer relationships over the phone
  • Ability to perform the required physical elements of the job (listed below)

 

Experience & Education

 

  • AA degree or equivalent is required
  • Two plus (2+) years related sales support experience or work dealing directly with customers by phone and email

Measurement of Performance

  • Ability to successfully contact, qualify, and pursue revenue with new leads and existing open quotes / business opportunities.
  • Information accurately entered into ER’s PERFECT platform, Salesforce platform, emails, and contact management program.
  • Tangible evidence of SSR’s efforts measured by quotes / business opportunities closure rate, revenue captured with existing open quotes, and quality of initial lead follow-up results.
  • Team Player capable of interfacing with other salespeople in multiple positions (AM, TSE, ISR, Mgmt., etc.)
  • General performance as defined by standard company performance evaluation form.

*This position is hybrid and requires you to be at our West Hill Corporate HQ 3 days a week.

* Salary will vary between $55,000 and $62,000 per year plus sales commission paid monthly, estimated on target earnings $72,700 max

 

Physical Requirements

  • All positions will require, to some degree, the physical abilities described below to perform the essential functions of the job
  • Work the expected hours, consistently arrive at work at the agreed time and follow Company rules and guidelines regarding breaks and meal periods.  Full time is typically considered to be 40 hours per week
  • Communicate effectively, both oral (in person and on the phone) and written.
  • Move around and through all work areas as needed, may include climbing stairs or ladders
  • Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds (i.e. books, reports, binders etc.)
  • Regularly sit at the assigned workstation
  • Use keyboard or equivalent equipment, to access the computer,
  • Use hands to manipulate documents and general paperwork to view contents
  • Read documents, reports, files etc.
  • Communicate effectively using the telephone
