Position Summary:

The Outbound Sales Representative engages customers via telephone or email and identifies and evaluates customer needs. The focus is on outbound calling of past customers and targeted industries to create opportunities for rental and product sales (new and used).

Responsibilities

  • Operates within Salesforce.com to call contacts at former and potential customers.  Engages well on the phone with customers to create quick rapport to create near-term rental and sales opportunities.
  • Plans and executes a sales call-out schedule to existing and potential customers.
  • Works with Inside Sales Reps to seamlessly transition opportunities to them for quoting and ordering.
  • Occasionally performs special tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge typically gained through two (2) years inside sales experience or inbound/outbound phone experience dealing directly with customers selling technical products.
  • Ability to successfully multi-task and manage concurrent selling situations. Must be micro-computer literate with the ability to access, input and retrieve data from SalesForce.com
  • Ability to perform the required physical elements of the job (listed below)
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

 

Measurement of Performance:

 

  • Achievement of rental and sales goals.
  • New business creation.
  • Consistently making call matrix set by regional manager and creating new opportunities per day
  • General job performance as defined by standard company performance evaluation and requirements.

 

Experience & Education

 

  • AA degree or equivalent is preferred but not required
  • Two (2) years inside sales experience, inbound/outbound phone experience preferred

 

Salary will range from $50k to &60k as an entry sales role - base and commissions

 

Physical Requirements

  • All positions will require, to some degree, the physical abilities described below to perform the essential functions of the job
  • Work the expected hours, consistently arrive at work at the agreed time and follow Company rules and guidelines regarding breaks and meal periods.  Full time is typically considered to be 40 hours per week
  • Communicate effectively, both oral (in person and on the phone) and written.
  • Move around and through all work areas as needed, may include climbing stairs or ladders
  • Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds (i.e. books, reports, binders etc.)
  • Regularly sit at the assigned workstation
  • Use keyboard or equivalent equipment, to access the computer,
  • Use hands to manipulate documents and general paperwork to view contents
  • Read documents, reports, files etc.
  • Communicate effectively using the telephone
