    JOB TITLE: Sr. Accountant


    REPORTS TO: President, Intellirent / Vice President, Global Controller, Electro Rent


    LOCATION: Intellirent, Roanoke, TX


    PURPOSE OF JOB: Prepares monthly entries to general ledger and performs account reconciliations. Performs account analysis and ad hoc tasks as needed. This position interacts with all levels in the Accounting department as well as numerous other departments in the company


    • Hands-on participation in the closing process including booking of journal entries and preparation of account reconciliations
    • Preparation of divisional P&L, balance sheet and other management reports
    • Analysis of divisional financial statements and key metrics
    • Assist with the financial system conversion/implementation
    • Identify and coordinate implementation of enhancements to current accounting processes
    • Work with internal and external auditors as needed
    • Assist with various ad hoc projects, as needed


    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance
    • CPA and/or MBA preferred
    • 3 to 5 years of experience with 2+ years in public account (Big 4 Preferred)
    • Excellent communication (written and oral) skills
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
    • Must be detail oriented and able to work independently on multiple tasks

    • General performance as defined by standard company performance evaluation form
    • Ability to enhance routine tasks

    All positions will require, to some degree, the physical abilities described below in order to perform the essential functions of the job

    Work the expected hours, consistently arrive at work at the agreed time and follow Company rules and guidelines regarding breaks and meal periods. Full time is typically considered to be 40 hours per week

    • Communicate effectively, both oral and written
    • Move around and through all work areas as needed, may include climbing stairs
    • Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds (i.e. books, reports, binders etc.)
    • Regularly sit at the assigned workstation
    • Use keyboard or equivalent equipment, to access the computer
    • Use hands to manipulate documents and general paperwork to view contents
    • Read documents, reports, files etc.
    • Communicate effectively using the telephone
