  • Overview

    The Outbound Sales Manager manages a team of outbound sales reps who engage customers via telephone or email and identifies and evaluates customer needs. The focus is on outbound calling of past customers and targeted industries to create opportunities for rental and product sales (new and used). The manager will manage day-to-day activities of the team including process management, phone sales coaching, hiring, performance management and meeting daily, weekly, monthly and annual performance objectives.

    Responsibilities

    • Day-to-day management of outbound sales team.
    • Working with IT, HR, finance and other functions to build the best environment for the outbound sales team.
    • Hiring and performance management of a new team of outbound sales reps.
    • Occasionally performs special tasks as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • 5 years as an inside sales manager selling technology products.
    • Knowledge of products carried in ER inventory
    • Ability to successfully multi-task and manage concurrent selling situations.
    • Must be micro-computer literate with the ability to access, input and retrieve data from SalesForce.com
    • Ability to perform the required physical elements of the job (listed below)
    • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

    • Achievement of rental and sales goals.
    • New business creation.
    • Building and managing of a team that meets near-term and long-term performance objectives.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    All positions will require, to some degree, the physical abilities described below in order to perform the essential functions of the job:

     

    Work the expected hours, consistently arrive at work at the agreed time and follow Company rules and guidelines regarding breaks and meal periods. Full time is typically considered to be 40 hours per week.

     

    • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
    • Move around and through all work areas as needed; may include climbing stairs or ladders.
    • Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds (i.e. books, reports, binders, etc.).
    • Regularly sit at the assigned workstation.
    • Use keyboard or equivalent equipment to access the computer.
    • Use hands to manipulate documents and general paperwork in order to view contents.
    • Read documents, reports, files, etc.
    • Communicate effectively using the telephone
