The Industrial Verification Engineer will support the local rental and lease activity within a region with the ability to test, calibrate and assist customers in application or startup issues. The engineer will work closely with customers, vendors and other Electro Rent organizational groups to resolve any technical support issues. The engineer should have enough programming experience to enable and run diagnostic and calibration software as developed by the manufacture or Electro Rent's primary laboratory. The engineer must understand specifications and applications for which the instrumentation can be used. The engineer will need to work closely with vendors and Elector Rent's primary lab to expand knowledge and ability to meet higher end calibration such as Z540-3 and 17025 accredited calibrations.
Test and calibrate industrial and power quality test equipment.
Assist in the evaluation of new test equipment and applications.
Assist with uncertainty budgets and help classify all verificatiion programs to the highest standard possible.
Assist the organization in expanding our current technical knowledge and support issurs through the use of issue track.
Work closely with sales and product group to provide technical assistance to pre and post sales activities.
Provide technical interface for customer support issues.
Other duties as assigned.
