Electro Rent Corporation is the world's leading technology services company. We rent, lease and sell general purpose test and measurement equipment and solutions to telecommunication, aerospace, computer and other electrical/electronic companies. We are authorized resellers/distributors for the leading Test and Measurement brands (Keysight, Tektronix, Keithley, Rohde & Schwarz, Anritsu).

 

We have an immediate opening in the Toronto, Ontario or Montreal, Quebec Areas and are currently seeking a self-directed individual with a proven sales track record to fill the role of Account Manager (outside, home-based salesperson). The Account Manager will assume the responsibility for new business development and growth from new and existing accounts. Position requires local travel with occasional overnight travel for training and national meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Consults with clients to help them optimize their test and measurement planning, budgeting, acquisition and utilization.
  • Prospects every day seeking out new business growth from current and potential clients.
  • Investigates and anticipates client’s test and measurement requirements and offers advice on solution alternatives.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with key client personnel. Understands each client’s organization and decision making process.
  • Implements an effective time and territory management plan.
  • Maintains and updates an accurate contact list
  • Maintains accurate forecast and funnel.
  • Works as a team with Inside Sales and other Account Managers to maximize the company’s value to clients.
  • Completes weekly activity updates, itineraries and other forms per company policies and guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5+ years related work experience in technical sales, marketing or engineering
  • Strong familiarity with Test and Measurement industry and equipment
  • Well organized with the ability to successfully manage concurrent selling situations
  • Excellent organizational and communications skills
  • High level of energy, motivation, and initiative
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent, technical degree preferred
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office Suite applications)
  • Familiarity with CRM tools – Salesforce.com preferred
